‘Vet Jean-Pierre?’ Marion echoed. ‘Whatever for?’

‘That’s what I’d like to know. What went on between you and Gregory last night? I hope you noticed how heavily tactful I was, keeping out of your way while you spent hours with him in that study of his?’
